A song I wrote back in 2000. My intention was to create a moody, brooding, dirge-like but hypnotic sound, in keeping with the sentiments of the song. It’s clearly atheistic. More specifically, it’s about my sense of detachment from the grim religious roots of the culture that developed in the Highlands of Scotland. There’s anger there, but there’s also a feeling of elation: of becoming, of waking up to clarity of thought.
